The most popular natural herbs when it comes to the menopause include Red Clover, Wild Yam, Dong Quai, Tyrosine, Damiana along with Chasteberry.

Red clover extract can help minimize your symptoms associated with menopause and PMS (or premenstrual syndrome) as it contains phytoestrogens which will respond much like estrogen within the body. It's even very effective for dealing with the various symptoms related to PMS.

Wild Yam is without a doubt a well known natural solution that's known to help to balance a woman's hormones, particularly throughout the menopause stages.

Dong Quai is considered one of the most popular medicinal herbs. In fact, it's sometimes called 'women's ginseng' because it has a harmonizing impact on the hormonal system in a woman's body.

It also has a modest estrogenic benefit and consequently was previously put into use for years by women and enjoyed as a health elixer. Today it's still known due to its many healthful benefits.

Chasteberry is utilized quite often in natural menopause supplements because it possesses estrogen as well as progesterone-like natural elements.

This may also have a purpose in managing luteinizing hormone much like that of black cohosh and it has also been shown to be highly effective in relieving premenstrual ailments.

Tyrosine is an amino acid that's useful with regards to preventing the health issues connected with emotional stress.

Damiana provides a tranquilizing effect and is especially good for helping to alleviate mood swings.

To avoid any unwanted effects, one thing to pay attention to when purchasing natural supplements for menopause is to be sure that the manufacturer producing these products uses 'standarized extracts'.

Simply put, these types of nutritional supplements are formulated using only the purest and also very best quality herbs and/or medicinal herb extracts. Furthermore, this process equally means that you will get the exact same amount of ingredients in one capsule to another.

This can help to eliminate the chance of potential uncomfortable side effects, a far more prevalent problem for individuals purchasing drug store brand, non-standarized natural supplements.

Certainly you have very likely already listened to and / or read stories that many natural supplements really don't provide what exactly is reported on their ingredients label.

Definitely you want to avoid this in the natural supplement you're taking.

Nonetheless, natural supplements for menopause are experiencing a definite rise in demand these days because the numerous possible negative consequences related to HRT are certainly well documented and known.

Even so, picking out just the right natural supplements for menopause symptoms that contain the most effective ingredients has long been a significant concern for the majority of ladies as they begin to transition throughout this phase of their lives.

The next time you're choosing natural supplements for menopause symptoms look for a product which includes all or at least a few of the recognized natural herbs I've mentioned above and be sure to use standardized herbal extracts exclusively to gain the most benefits from these wonderful menopause herbs from nature.

Warning! Know these symptoms of yeast infection or candidiasis before it is too late.

Here's my story. If you are suffering from yeast infection, you can relate to my ordeal.

Yeast Infection In My Teens:

My first brush with yeast infection was when I was in my late teens. I sweat a lot due to non air-conditioned classrooms in high school. It started as an itch down under and yes, I scratched like there was no tomorrow. I wrongly thought that it could either be just heat rash or allergy to the sanitary pad I was using then. I applied medicated talcum powder and the rashes disappeared within a week. I was young with better immunity which was how I could recovered that quickly.

Yeast Infection In My Twenties:

It started again as an itch that just would not go away. It spread to my inner thighs as well. I started the scratching marathon again day and night, discreetly. It was so disruptive to my normal routine. I wore skirts instead of pants so that the affected area could breathe. I applied anti fungal cream twice a day every day. I thought it must be heat rash that caused the fungal growth. To my relief, the rashes cleared in less than a week.

Yeast Infection In My Thirties:

I went into a new job in a major corporation. The job was highly stressful and demanding. I worked till 8 most nights. I was not eating properly. After work, my dinner were mostly high fat food such as fried noodles, fried rice etc which I enjoyed with a hot glass of 'pulled' milk tea (known as 'Teh Tarik' in Malay language. This drink is very popular in my country, Malaysia). I indulged in late night web surfing (the norm from social media hype). I usually sleep at 2 in the morning and woke up at 6.30 the next morning. I caved in to my sweet cravings most of the times. My workload grew heavier, I got more worried and slept even lesser. I was also waking up at 3.30 or 4 in the morning stressing over work the next day.

So, bad diet + lack of sleep = weight gain!

Unknowingly, I was all set for yet another yeast infection ride in the months to come.

Symptom 1

I began to feel extreme fatigue, even when my days were not so hectic. The fatigue was overwhelming. I felt like lead. After work, I will just plopped right down on my sofa and not moved until an hour later. The world was about to end any minute.

Symptom 2

Rashes began appearing at my underarms. They were red, flaky and very itchy. I would just apply medicated talcum powder to ensure the area stayed dry. The rashes will go away after a week and then reappeared when I was in stress mode. Back then, I did not see that there was a pattern. I was too busy with work to notice.

Symptom 3

Rashes began to appear at other parts of my body where sweat lingered (back of my knees or neck and worse, my vulva - external opening of the vagina). The itch was maddening. I could be scratching until the cows come home and the itch would not be appeased. The scratching aggravated the rashes. It was really that bad this time. The skin become sore and swollen, totally inflamed. (though I had no yellow discharge like some women may have experienced). So how was I able to walk like a lady with this yeast infection?

I had sleepless nights. The itch was most intense between 3 to 4 in the morning. The next day, I had trouble working due to lack of sleep. I was totally exhausted.

So, I searched online. I found out that people are resorting to natural remedies / holistic approach to cure yeast infection. Some even reported relief in less than a day. I thought...why not give this a try?

I was no longer keen on applying any more cream on the sensitive inflamed area, especially down under.

To my pleasant surprise, the holistic healing felt progressively natural.

If you are a yeast infection sufferer or know of someone who is, you may want to recommend this alternative treatment. You never try, you never know.

Menopause is an inevitable phase of a woman's lifecycle, a period where they undergo a sea of emotional as well as physical changes. This phase signifies the end of the fertility period as hormonal changes cause the ovaries to discontinue producing eggs due to which menstruation ceases. The average women experiences menopause after crossing the age of 50 but it isn't uncommon to see women aged between 35-40 years suffering from menopause symptoms.

No woman looks forward to menopause because it is period where you experience tremendous mood swings, anxiety, irritability, loss in sex drive and host of other problems. Additionally, following menopause, a female loses her reproductive ability which means that she can no longer have children. This is the reason why most women hope that menopause occurs to them as late as possible. And though you can't prevent menopause, it is very much possible to delay the symptoms provided that you incorporate a few lifestyle changes. In this article, we give you tips for delaying menopause symptoms.

Avoid smoking as smoking women are more susceptible to an early menopause. It has been found that women who smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day are 40 percent are more likely to get an early menopause than non smokers. Studies reveal that nicotine acts on the central nervous system and causes it to secrete hormones that are involved with menopause. So if you are a smoker, then it is about to time to kick the butt.

The second tip is to follow a balanced diet. Menopause is most likely to occur when the estrogen levels in the body drop drastically, so in order to prevent this from happening, eat foods that boost estrogen levels. In this regard, foods such as soy and whole grains can help as they are rich in estrogen while herbs such as dong quai and black kohosh too have been known to postpone menopause symptoms.

One other way to boost estrogen levels is by taking Vitamin E supplements. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that acts as estrogen substitute and supplements of these can boost estrogen levels. However consult with your doctor before taking these so that you are saved the side effect risks.

Lead an active lifestyle. It is important that you exercise everyday as regular exercise keeps the blood flowing and plus boosts the body's hormone production naturally. This can go a long way in delaying menopause.

However a word of note here, all of these methods may help you to delay menopause but ultimately you will have to face the symptoms. So be headstrong and think of it as a passing phase that occurs just once and you will surely be able to get over it.

The author says that menopause symptoms are an inevitable part of every woman's lifecycle but you shouldn't be dreading it. It will occur only once and if you are strong and determined, it is very much possible to enjoy life even during the menopause period.

Candida albicans is a micro-organism that survives in the vagina of a female. This organism causes yeast infection. When the organism is present in small number there is no visible signs but they don't take much time to multiply. You can control this multiplication by taking medication. There are a number of treatments like creams, pills, ointments and much more. It is not safe to use any medication without the prescription of a doctor as vagina is a very delicate area. You have to first detect the signs yourself and to reduce the risks of the infection due to yeast. The following are the symptoms of this infection.

1. Vaginal Discharge

Thick discharge that looks like cottage cheese is experienced by only few women who are suffering from this type of infection. The thickness of discharge is due to the presence of Candida albicans in the vagina. The color of this discharge can be white or yellow and do not have any foul odor. Thus, one has to be careful and keep a track on the type of discharge to detect any type of infection.

2. Itchiness or Pain in the Vulva

It is not necessary that all women who are suffering from yeast infection should experience thick discharge. The symptom which is more common than vaginal discharge and that can be detected easily is an itching sensation in the vulva. The itching sensation may also be coupled by a feeling of burning sensation. It leads to rashes and swelling in the vulva accompanied by redness. At times of urinating one may experience pain. This pain is also experienced during sexual intercourse. A women needs to be very careful in order to detect the real symptoms of yeast infection. The burning sensation in the vulva during urination has to be detected specifically as the same sensation is experienced during infection of the urinary tract. It can be understood by keeping a track of the exact time when the pain begins and stops. As the urine touches the vulva you will experience the pain. This is the region that is infected. In case of infection of the urinary tract the pain will start as the urine comes out and persists till the last drop.

If any of these symptoms is experienced there is a surety of yeast infection and one must start the treatment immediately. Seek medical advice if the signs are positive. You can buy over- the- counter pills too. But it is always advisable to consult a doctor and take prescribed medicines. If the problem persists after medication too then there may be chances of serious infection. At this point of time a proper and detailed diagnosis is important.

In some cases, an ovarian cyst can rupture, especially when it is not found early on. We name it a ruptured ovarian cyst.

Most of the cysts on ovaries are benign, that means they are not cancerous, many of them disappear in several weeks just by themselves. When it happens and your cyst on ovary does rupture, it causes severe pain, but very often also serious medical difficulties. Very likely it is going to have an impact on your health causing perilous disorders that will require medical attention.

Following the rupture of an ovarian cyst, it is common for the abdomen to be distended and for it to be particularly tender. This painful condition is often also linked to haemorrhage (heavy bleeding), and it is often accompanied with bloating and abdominal pain. That happens more when the woman is taking anticoagulant medications (e. g. Warfarin). The loss of blood can cause temporary pale skin look or anaemia.

Basically, the most common ruptured ovarian cyst symptom is pain. A woman whose cyst ruptured may experience pain associated with their menstrual cycle - in particular, pain may escalate just prior to or just after the menstrual period. If the woman did not feel any pain associated with her cyst, then the pain after the rupture will be intensely apparent.

Other symptoms to identify your medical condition, more general ones, can be nausea, vomiting and fever. Patients whose cyst has ruptured may experience weakness, dizziness or fainting. These are very important symptoms to signal internal bleeding. On top of that, it is also important to mention your current conditions you have been treated for - they can help to identify your condition too. It could be extremely high or low blood pressure that you normally do not suffer for, that can be additional indicator of a diagnoses.

Once your condition has been stabilized, your doctor may want to continue running tests to understand your condition more fully. You are likely to have regular abdominal examinations, both manual and by ultrasound. Less usual and more detailed for diagnose and/or treatment are laparoscopy or surgery. Haemorrhagic cysts (heavily bleeding cysts) often require the surgery.

The symptoms of fibroids in the uterus can vary depending on which type of tumor you actually have. Some of the most common symptoms are pain and heavy bleeding during menstruation. However there are others that you should be aware of as well.

Types Of Fibroids

Submucous is just one type. These occur just below the lining of the uterus and can cause menstrual problems as they grow and move around the pelvic area.

Intramural ones are round and often grow within the walls of the uterus and may cause the organ to become larger as they grow.

Subserous fibroids grow on the outer walls and usually cause no symptoms until they grow large enough to interfere with other organs in the immediate area,

Pedunculated can cause the most pain as far as symptoms of fibroids in the uterus. These have a peduncle (stalk) and as they grow they can become twisted and cause extreme pain.

Parasitic ones are the rarest and would involve a tumor attaching itself to another organ.

Larger tumors may also cause frequent urination or the inability to urinate. This is because they may push against the bladder or grow to a size where they are closing off the urinary tract altogether. Lower back pain and constipation can also be cause by larger sizes.

If you are experiencing any of these you may possibly have this condition. It can be treated and surgery is not always needed though it may be recommended for ones that are larger.

Statistics show that roughly 50% of all women suffer from mild to severe vaginal dryness at some point in their life. There are a variety of reasons that this happen but in the majority of cases, it is a sign of the onset or full term menopause. This will have a negative effect on a woman's libido, which is why it is important for women to understand this condition. Rest assured however that there are natural ways to alleviate this lack of vaginal lubrication.

A decline in estrogen levels is generally the cause of lowered lubrication, which are almost always menopausal symptoms. This leads to the thinning and drying of the vaginal wall, and the depletion of the wall's elasticity. This condition is referred to as vaginal atrophy. Though this is generally the cause in most conditions, there are a few other conditions that can cause this uncomfortable irritation.

Another medical condition that could be the cause of lowered vaginal lubrication is what is known as Sjogren's disease. This is an autoimmune disorder that attacks moisture-producing cells in the body. This will also cause a decrease in not only vaginal lubrication, but perspiration levels as well. This can have serious effects on the body and a doctor should be consulted if you suspect that you could be suffering from this condition.

Though there are medical conditions that cause dryness of the vagina, the emotional state of an individual can also have an effect on the body's lubrication. Excessive stress or depression are common causes of non-medical reasons for draining the body's liquids. In cases like these, counseling would be recommended rather than seeing a medical doctor.

If you are experiencing these symptoms and cannot make it to a doctor right away, there are several natural home remedies that can temporarily and even sometimes permanently alleviate vaginal irritation. An increase in the body's water intake is always a good start but staying away from certain foods and increasing the intake of others can be very effective. Keeping an eye on the ingredients in the soap and lotions that you may put on your body is also a good ideal to eliminate this problem. Female beauty products are notorious for containing harsh chemicals that can work against the body's natural lubricating mechanism. The symptoms of fibroid tumors can vary greatly depending on their type and location in your body. The size of them will also effect the symptoms that you experience. Fortunately most of these types of tumors are benign (non-cancerous), but they can start interfering with your life. Since these can grow the whole time you have estrogen in your system, chances are that sooner or later you will experience symptoms even if it is much later. Of course, they may start to fade after you enter into menopause as well.

For those women not fortunate enough to have microscopic tumors that essentially do nothing to draw attention to themselves, heavy menstrual bleeding, and pain during menstruation, and pressure are usually the common things they will suffer. Most times these will not interfere with daily life, though this can change as the size of the tumor increases.

When that happens the symptoms of fibroid tumors can include pelvic pain and pressure. This can put pressure on other organs and include trouble urinating on inability to control the bladder. It may also cause lower back pain while pushing on the bowels causing constipation. Heavy or abnormal bleeding differing from a typical menstruation cycle in that can affect daily activities.

Do not underestimate the ability of these benign tumors to interfere with your life and health. Some of them can get very large, and some can be extremely painful as well. You do not need to suffer through them though. There are ways of treating them beyond surgery.
