Do you love bras, or simply hate them that you want to rip them off? Maybe your feelings towards bras are influenced by the rumors surrounding the undergarment, or simply by the discomfort you feel whenever you wear one. To have a reasonable point of view, it is wise to always find out about facts.
According to speculations, bras can keep breasts artificially in high temperatures, linking it to increased risk of developing breast cancer, much like how rise in temperature affects the testicles. Others also claim that tight-fitting bras constrict the lymphatic system-which eliminates toxins from the body, trapping toxins in the breast tissue, and thus, cause breast cancer. But the problem is that these claims are not supported by scientific proofs.
Wearing bras is also affected by dress codes. Even if the medical industry is said to be governed by scientific facts, for instance, most hospitals won't allow nurses, doctors, or any other health care employee to work without bras under their medical scrubs. The dress code requires them to wear undergarments, even if they will just have to throw scrub jackets or lab coats over their medical scrubs. The case is the same in almost all offices and public institutions in most countries.
Women are also concerned of their physical appearance, anxious that their breasts will sag if they do not wear bras. A bra's main use is to support the breasts and keep them in shape, but speculation tells that they can actually cause the sagging because breast ligaments can atrophy from disuse. For that reason, those ligaments could no longer hold the breasts in the more desirable position. While there are no proofs that bra actually prevent breasts from sagging, the said claim, is again, also lacking of scientific proofs.
The use of bras is also affected by the society as many lands still hold to being conventional and conservative that going out in the market without wearing bra will be embarrassing. There are only a number of nations, whose people are liberated, that won't make an issue with going out braless. Tribal communities are an exception.
When we trace the root of all these speculations, we would find ourselves in no less than the issue of comfort. There are women who oppose its use and act like radical feminists because they want to feel comfortable in whatever they do. Significantly, they feel and believe that removing bras from the scene is necessary to achieve that.
